I Wish by Cher Lloyd

I Wish by Cher Lloyd is out, it's kinda late but just to acknowledge those who haven't heard this yet. So addictive.

The Veronicas and Their Fashion Picks

I started liking The Veronicas since the first time I heard Kit Fysto remix of their hit, Lolita. Both the original song and the remix are adorably addicting and they successfully bring me to my fantasies every time the beat drops. So melodic and charismatic. The title caught me, Lolita, I wondered what would this song be about, then I ended up stuck with the lyrics say "I'm your Lolita, la femme nikita". To me it's so catchy and every time I hear that part I take a deep breath and sing to it.

I browsed their pictures on the internet and I couldn't believe myself that I almost love all of their styles! They amazingly put gothic lolita, vintage, and high school to their style. I simply adore their makeups too. They are twins from Australia, got beautiful voice, wonderful fashion, and cool music. A perfect duo! Listen to one or two, and rate them yourself.

Those are my favorites, I should give them a standing ovation for their breath taking styles. Somehow they be like vintage ladies, or so provocative, or like funky downtown dancers, or like futuristic women from Venus, or in some ways they be like forever 22. They could make themselves fit to some ages, 17, 22, or 30. They will make you sigh and question, how old are you? For real? I just.. I just adore them to death!

Feeling Down? Listen

Can't Take That Away (Mariah's Theme) - Mariah Carey

They can say,
Anything they want to say,
Try to bring me down,
But I will not allow anyone to succeed hanging clouds over me,
And they can try
How to make me feel that I,
Don't matter at all,
But I refuse to falter in what I believe or loose faith in my dreams

'Cause there's,
There's a light in me,
That shines brightly,
They can try,
But they can't take that away from me
From me

No no nooo

Oh they,
They can do
Anything they want to you,
If you let them in,
But they won't ever win,
If you cling to you pride, and just push them aside,
See I,
I have learned,
There's an inner peace I own,
Something in my soul that they can not possess
So I won't be afraid and the darkness will fade

'Cause there's,
There's light in me me,
That shines brightly, yes
They can try,
But they can't take that away from me

No oh oh,
They can't take this
Precious love I'll always have inside me,
Certainly the Lord will guide me where I need to go

Woah, woah
They can say
Anything they want to say,
Try to bring me down,
But I won't face the ground,
I will rise steadily sailing out of their reach,
Although they do try,
How to make me feel that I,
Don't matter at all,
But I refuse to fall,
Tell me what I believe or loose faith in my dreams,
'Cause there's a light in me,
That shines brightly yes

They can try but they can't take that away from
Me
From me
No no nooo
Me

Hello,
on such an aniversary
I can say "thank you" from my heart
Though I'm always shy,
this is the important day, just onece in my life

The bitter part of chocolate...
Is it adult? Is is child?
I wanna dream forever, so
get into this rhythm

(*repeated phrase)
(Frisodation!)

Thank you,
to meet you everyone,
I have had many kinds of adventure
This year, and even next year comes,
I won't forget this excitement!

I light the candle light
for you, who always love a love like
the sweet and sour part
in a short cake

(*repeated phrase)

Is it happy to be an adult?
Is it sad tobe an adult?
What to do?
What can I do?
Can I do only now?

”Hatachi” means "20 years old"

This is legal age of adulthood in Japan.

-----Why party?

Historically, Coming Age of Day is the important anniversary in Japan since 8th century.

Old time, Japanese have had "genpuku" celemony at age 12-18 to join adult society.

Even though the defined age of adulthood is different from the samurai era, Coming of Age celemony has been celebrated as an important one in the life.

Local governments all around Japan hold Coming of Age Ceremony for new 20 years old people in each region. In most cases it is in January, but can be held in summer in cold region.

-----What's "furisodation"?

"Frisodation" is a coinage word made up of "furisofe" and an English suffix "-ation".
Furisode is a fomal and celebratory kimono style of unmarried ladies.
The most salient feature of furisode is the long sleeves and gorgeous pattern.
It is true that wearing furisode is not limited for age 20, but acctually there's not many chance for girls to wear furisode in recent Japanese society. As furisode is expensive and difficult to wear by themselves, western dress style tend to chosen at many celebratory situation these days.

However, somehow Coming of Age Day is less westernized and still it is common to celebrate this day with furisode style.

CONFESSION: KPOP IS DOPE

First time I heard MichiGo by G-Dragon, I was like "damn this ones too good". He got something so irresistible, the bass drops are beautifully packed with his korean rap style. This song introduces dubstep well to KPOP revolutionary breakouts, even though I also figured out that a lot of KPOP artists used dub as much as this song to make their hits.

I wonder, no one could ever resist electronic touch to their favorite KPOP hits, usually anthems and danceable songs. Most of all use a high dose of bass and it becomes a culture that the world loves EDM too, though they never know that the song they're addicted with is a branch of EDM. So the conclusion is that KPOP is also a sub-genre EDM, mostly dance songs.

I Got A Boy by SNSD (Girls' Generation) is a banger for me, it has a powerful beat and the bravest transition between 140 bpm and the lower one. KPOP brings a new generation that citizens of the world know as a new culture, yet the ancestor is my beloved electronic music with its sub-genres. SNSD has a really good list of upbeat songs you will listen like forever.

Here are some songs I now listen on repeat, most of them are EDM sub-genres, the rest is pop:

1. Like This by Wonder Girls
2. Wolf by EXO
3. Ma Boy by Sistar
4. You and I by IU
5. Fantastic Baby by Big Bang

HOUSE: Ready For The Weekend (Club Mix) by Icona Pop

Beautiful, catchy and addictive. This duo released I Love It and became hit lately for commercials anthem and more. So make sure to hear this out, the original one is more lyrical, but this club mix is such a melodic and funky. It also has a featured version, yes it's The Cataracs.
